Areas of practice

Dr. James McMillan is an experienced practitioner and specialises in tax and revenue matters with a strong record in tax dispute resolution. He is also a legal academic at Charles Darwin University with experience teaching in Evidence, Procedure, Administrative Law, Torts, Criminal Law, and Equity.


Dr. McMillan accepts direct access briefs from accountants in tax matters.


He is currently the Treasurer of the Law Society of the NT and a member of the NT Law Reform Committee.
